"We're gonna need a bigger boat"

Shark Tour anyone?

rain

It's Independence Day, it's raining cats and dogs and there is a "Jaws" themed Fourth of July party to attend. A group of friends getting together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this great summer movie that we all remember from so many years ago. The food is plentiful: BBQ chicken, burgers, sausage and hot dogs, potato, macaroni, tortellini and green salads, deviled eggs, chili, baked beans, sausage and peppers, veggies and chips with dips. Brownies and ice cream sandwiches, ice cream pops, and carved watermelon sharks filled with fruit salad...complete with the arms and legs of the "victims". We had beer, we had wine, we had cocktails....and pudding shots: YUM... these were delicious little treats made of Kahlua, rum, pudding and cream. Some of us came in costume...ORCA, some crazy guy selling "Shark Tours" and charging "an arm and a leg", Quint was in attendance along with his 3D cracker. We also enjoyed a Jaws trivia contest where some racked their brains trying to remember little details of the movie and others, including myself (and with a little help from my friends) knew every answer! There were a few true Jaws aficionados in the group who belted out the tunes from the movie and one brave soul who decided to go swimming amongst the body parts...even though danger loomed!! We ended the day with "THE GREAT WHITE",..a delicious homemade vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce adorned with a gummy shark. It had a nice "bite" to it and tied in very nicely with our Independence Day celebration...the red, the white, and the blue. The rain continued its downpour and had us wondering when it would end. It did not dampen our spirits in the least but we did wonder if Noah would be showing up...we definitely thought we'd need a bigger boat to get home in. The rain did finally stop and a little sun poked thru as we were leaving...a fun day despite the weather....and the shark attacks....." " Show me the way to go home...??
