Oxford

The University Town

Amazing city and definitely a must see!!!!

Here are a few fun facts and a photo essay:

Colleges and halls are communities in which students live and study and are the main focus of their everyday lives. The responsibilities of the college is their academic progress and their welfare.

The university is made up of 39 colleges scattered throughout the city. There is no main campus, it runs the oldest university museum and the largest university press in the world. It also runs the largest library system nationwide. Each college has its own sports facilities and teams.

The Ashmolean is Oxford University's museum of art and archaeology whose world famous collections range from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art--just one of the many amazing places to see.

Fun fact: The Bodleian, New College and Christ Church are famous features in many of the Harry Potter films which helped create the backdrops that became Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
